Diane Keaton’s passion for architecture and interior design continues to live on through the homes she renovated during her lifetime. Now, one of the late ‘Annie Hall’ actress’ final renovation projects is heading back to the market, with an asking price of $10.3 million.The four-bedroom, three-bathroom oceanfront property in Laguna Beach, California, is expected to officially hit the market on September 17. The home still features several details personally selected by Keaton, who was widely admired for her distinctive approach to architecture and design.

Keaton purchased the 2,700-square-foot property for $6.6 million in 2021. She undertook an extensive transformation of the two-story residence before selling it a year later for $7.9 million.Listing agent Brooke Wainwright told Mansion Global that the property was Keaton’s “last home renovation” and still includes her lighting choices and personal touches.Built in 1976, the oceanfront home was redesigned around Keaton’s signature black-and-white aesthetic. The look can be seen throughout both the exterior and interiors, giving the property a modern yet timeless character.

Set on an oceanfront lot, the Laguna Beach residence offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean while providing considerable privacy.A wooden staircase at the back of the property leads directly down to the sandy beach, creating an intimate connection between the home and the coastline.“The home offers an intimate connection to the coastline while maintaining a level of seclusion that is increasingly difficult to find,” the listing notes.The two-story home features an open-concept layout enhanced by cathedral ceilings and large windows that bring in natural light. Its connected levels create distinct spaces while maintaining a sense of flow throughout the residence.

Large glass doors open onto one of the property’s oceanfront decks.The lower level is designed with entertaining in mind and includes an additional living area and a bar.Outside, another entertaining space features a grill, bar and sink, along with a pass-through window that connects the outdoor area with the interior.The primary suite occupies its own private retreat upstairs and opens onto another deck. While Keaton renovated and flipped several properties throughout her life, her connection with Laguna Beach was particularly strong.“Diane loved doing her flips in Laguna,” Wainwright told Mansion Global.The actress, who died aged 79, was known for having a keen eye for architecture and design. Her real-estate projects became an extension of her creative personality, with her renovations often preserving the character of older homes while introducing her own distinctive aesthetic.
More of Diane Keaton’s former homes hit the market
The Laguna Beach property is not the only Keaton home to attract attention in the real-estate market following her death.Her former Beverly Hills estate recently found a buyer after a series of price reductions brought its final selling price down by $6.5 million from its original $25 million asking price.Keaton purchased the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom Spanish Revival property from Madonna for $8.1 million in 2007. ‘American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy also reportedly lived in the home at one point.During her renovation, Keaton retained many of the property’s original architectural features, including dark wood ceiling beams, arched doorways, terra-cotta floors, wrought-iron details and rustic fireplaces.“Diane was one of the most prolific architectural and design minds that we’ve ever seen in the real estate community,” listing agent Rayni Williams of Beverly Hills Estates told the New York Post.
Diane Keaton’s final home sold for $18 million
Just weeks earlier, Keaton’s final home, known as “The House That Pinterest Built”, sold for $18 million on August 18.The actress purchased the Sullivan Canyon property for $4.7 million in 2011 and spent eight years transforming it into her dream home. She documented the renovation journey in her 2017 book of the same name.Keaton eventually listed the property in March 2025, months before her death at the age of 79.
