Bondada Engineering to acquire 75% stake in KCS Engg to foray into aerospace & defence sector

Hyderabad: Bondada Engineering Limited on Thursday said it is acquiring a 75% stake for an undisclosed sum in Hyderabad-based KCS Engineering Solutions through its subsidiary Bondada Dynamics Private Limited, as part of its strategic foray into the defence and aerospace sector.The Hyderabad-based company said its subsidiary has signed a business acquisition agreement with KCS for the acquisition, which will expand its portfolio beyond renewable energy, telecom infrastructure, EPC and digital infrastructure into high-technology manufacturing and engineering.As part of the plan, KCS Engineering Solutions will be converted into a private limited company, proposed to be named BKCS Technologies Private Limited, with the “B” representing Bondada. After the conversion, BKCS will operate as a subsidiary of Bondada Dynamics and become part of the Bondada Group.KCS Engineering Solutions works in research, design, development, manufacturing, testing and integration of electronic and electro-mechanical solutions for defence, aerospace and allied applications. The company has worked with organisations including DRDO, ISRO, Bharat Electronics Limited, Electronics Corporation of India Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, NTRO and the Indian armed forces.Bondada Group chairman and managing director Dr Bondada Raghavendra Rao said the partnership supports India’s push for indigenous defence capabilities. The company said KCS’s expertise and customer relationships would help accelerate product development and strengthen its role in strategic defence and aerospace programmes in India.
