Hyderabad: The residents of Krishinagar and Ajay Nagar colonies in Bandalguda village urged revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri district collector to remove their properties from the 22-A prohibited properties list and allow registrations. The residents said they have constructed their houses and buildings in survey no 36/2 to 36/5 in Bandlaguda nearly four decades ago, but the govt has suddenly included their properties in the prohibited list.“There are hundreds of houses, more than a hundred apartment buildings and many temples and places of worship, with thousands of families residing in this locality for the past 40 years after obtaining all the required permissions from various competent govt authorities. Time and again, successive officers, including the district collectors concerned, revenue divisional officers (RDOs) and mandal tahsildars, have passed orders and issued NOCs,” Krishinagar Welfare Association president Ch Pratap and secretary N Sahadev Goud said in their representation.Various agencies, including the GHMC, water board and TGSPDCL, have given permissions for constructions, water and electricity connections and allowed the residents to occupy their properties for the past 40 years. “And now the state govt has put our land in 22-A list, stating that it is govt land. This has not only disturbed the peace of mind of the residents but also created panic among our families. We all bought and built our respective homes by investing our entire lifetime savings and earnings, based on trust that the govt had given us NOCs, GOs and subsequent permissions from various competent govt authorities,” Ajay Nagar Colony welfare association members said.
