‘Avengers: Doomsday’ star Simu Liu has reportedly married his fiancée, Allison Hsu, in a romantic ceremony in France!TMZ broke the news about the couple tying the knot in a hush-hush ceremony. Sources told the publication that Liu and Hsu exchanged vows over the weekend in France, while holding back on the details of the nuptials.The couple have been dating since late 2022, with Liu proposing to Hsu in May 2025 during a trip to Paris.Neither Liu nor Hsu has publicly confirmed the marriage so far.

Simu announced his engagement in May with a series of romantic posts. Sharing photos from his dreamy proposal, he wrote, “From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always.”
Simu Liu on wanting to start a family
Shortly after his engagement, Simu got candid about his plans to start a family. The actor, who lent his voice to Netflix’s animated film In Your Dreams, revealed that the film had him envisioning life as a dad one day.“This movie, and this role in particular, has made me think a lot about how I want to show up as a dad and a parent,” he told PEOPLE.“I’m very excited about getting married and all the steps along that process,” he added.
Simu Liu on ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
On the work front, Liu is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel Studios’ upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, marking his return to the character following 2021’s ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’.Speaking to People at San Diego Comic-Con, the actor opened up about sharing the screen with Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, who return as Professor X and Magneto respectively. “For me, it’s Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen … not just for their roles in ‘X-Men’, which are so iconic, but I also grew up just a massive ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ super-nerd, and ‘Lord of the Rings’ as well,” Liu said.“So just getting to talk to them, getting to hang on set with them in between takes, it was the most starstruck I’ve ever been,” he added.
About ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to bring together characters from the ‘Avengers’, ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘X-Men’ franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Liu also recalled that he knew he would eventually be part of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ from around the time ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ was released.
