Aston Martin crash: Lingamaneni Sanjush says he aided Bharati Mukhi after accident | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Lingamaneni Sanjush, involved in the August 16 road accident, said he did not flee the scene after the crash. He said he immediately took the injured Bharati Mukhi to hospital in his vehicle to get her medical assistance.He said he did what he could to ensure she received treatment. Bharati, however, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.He requested that the steps he took to shift her to hospital immediately after the accident be considered while examining the circumstances of the case.Sanjush says he went to police station himselfSanjush said he did not leave after the accident and went to the police station himself. He said he informed police officers about the incident and cooperated fully with the investigation.He said his actions taking the injured Bharati to hospital immediately after the crash and later going to the police station to inform the authorities showed that he cooperated with the legal process.He requested police to examine all facts relating to the incident and consider the sequence of events before and after the accident.He says three medical tests returned negative resultsSanjush said police conducted medical tests to ascertain his physical condition at the time of the accident. These included a breath analyser test, urine test and blood test.He said all three tests returned negative results. He added that the tests conducted to determine whether he had consumed alcohol at the time of the accident did not indicate alcohol consumption.He requested that the medical test results be considered along with other evidence during the investigation.The driver expressed grief over Bharati’s death and conveyed his condolences to her family. He described the incident as unfortunate and said no one would want such an accident to occur.At the same time, he requested that investigators consider the circumstances of the accident, the steps he took afterwards, his decision to take Bharati to hospital, his cooperation with police and the results of the medical tests.He said a conclusion should be reached only after every aspect of the road accident was examined comprehensively.
