Arsenal lost top spot in the Premier League after suffering their first defeat of the season, going down 3-0 to Brighton. Raphinha powers Barcelona
Barcelona continued its excellent start to the La Liga season with a 3-1 win away at Sevilla, making it seven league victories in a row. Raphinha was the star, scoring a hat-trick, with Lamine Yamal setting up two of his goals.Raphinha has now scored 12 league goals, already just one short of the 13 he managed throughout the whole of last season. Barcelona has scored 31 goals in seven games and moved six points clear of Real Madrid, which faces Atletico Madrid on Sunday.Sevilla took the lead through Youssouf Fofana, but Raphinha equalized midway through the first half after cutting inside and finding the bottom-right corner. Yamal then used his quick footwork to beat the Sevilla defense before crossing for Raphinha to head home in the 52nd minute. The young winger later assisted again for Raphinha’s third.Elsewhere in Spain, Rayo Vallecano striker Sergio Camello scored his seventh goal of the season in a 1-1 draw at Osasuna. Racing Santander, who had lost 7-2 to Barcelona in midweek, suffered another heavy defeat, going down 5-0 to Celta Vigo. Pablo Duran scored twice. Athletic Bilbao and Alaves played out a goalless Basque derby.
Inter fight back in Italy as Dortmund go top in Germany
Inter Milan came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with Roma in a clash between two unbeaten sides. Roma midfielder Manu Koné scored twice in the first half, but Lautaro Martinez struck twice after the break to rescue a point for Inter.Koné opened the scoring in the sixth minute after Nahuel Molina headed Paulo Dybala’s cross back toward him. He scored again in the 37th minute after being set up by Gianluca Mancini. The goal was initially ruled offside but was awarded following a video review.Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini had stopped Koné from being sold to Inter during the offseason. Martinez pulled one back soon after halftime and completed the comeback in the 79th minute.Lazio beat Venezia 2-0, while Cagliari continued its strong start with a 1-0 win over Udinese. Daniel Maldini, son of former Italy defender Paolo Maldini, scored for Cagliari.
