Army debunks Pakistan propaganda about 'Chinese troops inside Arunachal'
Fact-check by Indian army.

NEW DELHI: The Army on Saturday debunked malicious propaganda by six suspected Pakistan-sponsored X accounts that circulated false claims of Chinese forces routing Indian troops and advancing nearly 50 km into Arunachal Pradesh. The coordinated posts, referring to alleged developments on November 6 and 7, falsely claimed that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had inflicted a major military defeat on Indian forces and captured territory inside Arunachal Pradesh. The Army’s fact-check exposed similarities in the claims circulated by the six accounts, pointing to a coordinated disinformation campaign. The posts also used videos of soldiers moving through forested terrain, falsely presenting them as footage of recent developments along the India-China border. The visuals were misrepresented to lend credibility to the fabricated claims of Chinese military advances. While localised face-offs have taken place near areas such as Taksing and Asaphila, official sources have dismissed claims of a major Chinese incursion or a military defeat of Indian troops.
