Separately, he recently informed fans that he would take a short break from writing on medical advice to rest and recuperate.

During the show, contestant Preetiraj asked Amitabh Bachchan whether he took charge of household work when domestic staff members were away. The actor explained that he had no hesitation about managing the responsibilities himself.“Whether there are four, eight, or 10 staff members, when there is no one at home, I do all the work myself. I take care of the cleaning and everything,” Amitabh said.

Why Amitabh Bachchan turns to Jaya Bachchan for cooking

Although Amitabh Bachchan is comfortable handling cleaning, cooking is a different matter. The actor admitted that preparing meals was not among his skills. “I don’t know how to cook,” he said.He explained that the family orders food from outside when required or he asks Jaya Bachchan to prepare something for him. According to Amitabh, his wife enjoys these requests and often responds by making different dishes.“I sometimes ask Jaya, ‘Deviji, please make something.’ That makes her very excited, and she makes different dishes for me every day and asks how I liked the food,” he shared.The conversation also reportedly touched on a special dessert Jaya Bachchan prepared after Amitabh stopped eating kheer. The actor also discussed how he keeps his family informed when film shoots require him to return home late. Amitabh said he usually sends a message through the family group chat whenever he expects to arrive after his usual time.“I inform all beforehand, and that saves me,” he said. He joked about the questions that might follow if he returned late without informing his family. These include, “Where were you? You didn’t inform us. Is this the time to come home?” Amitabh added that Jaya Bachchan generally has her dinner and goes to sleep if he arrives very late.

In a separate update, Amitabh Bachchan told his followers that he would temporarily stop writing because he had been advised to rest. The actor shared the news on social media and apologized for being unable to communicate with fans as usual.In his latest tweet, he wrote, “Apologies .. I beg your forgiveness; I’ve been advised to take some time off for a few days to rest and recuperate, so I’m not able to write anything.” Amitabh also addressed his followers in a blog post, where he extended his Dussehra greetings and explained that he had been instructed to limit his activities.“First Dussehra greetings to all .. love happiness, fullment, prayers. under very strict rest and recuperation .. so am not allowed to communicate .. do excuse .. my apologies .. to all those that have sent me personal wishes , apologies .. but do take this as my respected responce.. more hopefully later.”The announcement came days after the actor greeted fans outside his residence during his customary Sunday darshan.
