‘Vettuvam’ poster: Pa. Ranjith’s next film is about India’s traditional Mallakhamba sport; glimpse release details out | Tamil Movie News

Renowned Tamil filmmaker Pa. Ranjith has announced the title of his first pan-India film, ‘Vettuvam’. The director took to social media to share the title along with a poster of the upcoming project.The poster features a Mallakhamba pole with performers climbing it, suggesting that the film could be connected to the traditional Indian sport. A major glimpse of ‘Vettuvam’ will be unveiled on September 18 at 12 PM.Pa. Ranjith shared the poster and wrote, “The wait is almost over… The #WorldOfVettuvam – An Introduction to #Vettuvam. 18.09.26 | 12:00 PM. A film by Pa Ranjith.”The film is being planned as a pan-India release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

Mallakhamba is a traditional sport from the Indian subcontinent in which performers use a stationary vertical pole to perform various gymnastic and aerial movements. The poster has sparked curiosity about how the sport will be connected to the world of ‘Vettuvam’.Earlier today, the makers also shared a message announcing the upcoming glimpse. “A world beyond all we’ve known. Cast of ‘Vettuvam’

Speaking about the cast, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalaiyarasan, Mime Gopi, Guru Somasundaram, Shabeer Kallarakkal, John Vijay, Sai Dheena, Anand Saami, Harish Uthaman, Lizzy, Lingesh Prem Kumar, Kavitha Bharathi and several others will be seen in the film.

Technical team of ‘Vettuvam’

GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music for ‘Vettuvam’.The technical crew includes cinematographer Roopesh Shaji, editor Selva RK, art director SS Murthi and action choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan. Santhosh Narayanan Chenthilkumar is the co-writer, while Franklin Jacob has penned the dialogues.Pa. Ranjith is also producing the film under his Neelam Productions banner, along with S Sai Devanand and S Sai Venkateswaran of Learn and Teach Production.
