Hyderabad; BRS working president KT Rama Rao dared chief minister A Revanth Reddy to face a judicial inquiry by a sitting judge of either the high court or the Supreme Court into the assets of both K. Chandrashekar Rao’s and Revanth Reddy’s families dating right back to their birth. Asserting that the BRS reposes unwavering faith in the judiciary, Rama Rao demanded an inquiry headed by a sitting judge rather than partisan Special Investigation Teams (SITs) handpicked by the ruling regime, declaring that the BRS leadership is fully prepared to face any legal consequence if even an iota of wrongdoing is established on its part. He asked the CM to accept this challenge and submit to an impartial inquiry.Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Telangana National Integration Day, KTR said that Revanth Reddy—who previously indulged in unsubstantiated rhetoric claiming KCR possessed a 1,000-acre farmhouse—himself conceded on the floor of the assembly that the land in question measured only 67 acres. Challenging the Chief Minister to identify where the remaining 933 acres are located, Rama Rao declared that the BRS would immediately register them to the state government if proven. “These 67 acres were transparently declared by KCR in his statutory election affidavits, with every rupee of stamp duty and income tax duly accounted for, and Rama Rao demanded that the CM must tender an unconditional apology to KCR for his malicious mudslinging.The BRS leader lashed out at the Congress govt, asserting that its 420 electoral guarantees have proven entirely bogus following 1,000 days of administrative paralysis and governance failure. He alleged that the BRS legislature party was undemocratically suspended from the House precisely because the treasury benches feared being held accountable on key assurances. Accusing the Chief Minister of colluding with the BJP to unilaterally orchestrate legislative proceedings in the absence of the principal opposition, KTR dared the govt to extend the monsoon session by a month and revoke the suspensions.“Instead of grandstanding that the opposition lacks the courage to look him in the eye, let him extend the session; we will not merely look you in the eye, we will grab you by the collar on behalf of the people of Telangana on the promised Rs 2,500 under the Mahalakshmi scheme, the Rs 4,000 pensions, uninterrupted power, irrigation, Rythu Bandhu, and the unceremonious cancellation of Rythu Bima,” he declared.Distortion of Sircilla Land History and Challenge for a White PaperOn the allegations on Sircilla lands, he clarified that nearly half of Sircilla town stands on the bed of the dried-up Rayani Cheruvu, where veteran communist leader Ch. Rajeshwara Rao and others allotted 60 to 70-square-yard house plots to poor decades ago. The previous BRS administration merely regularized these long-standing possessions under Government Orders (GO) 58 and 59, which the current CM is absurdly characterizing as land grabbing. He said that localities such as Peddur, Sardapurand Jaggaraopalli have housed families on government records for generations, while tribal farmers in Rangampet of Veernapalli mandal were lawfully issued Podu land titles under the Forest Rights Act. Dismissing allegations on former TSCAB Chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, KTR reiterated Ravinder Rao’s open challenge that he is prepared for any penalty if an acquisition of even an inch of land since 2014 is proven. Ahead of CM’s visit to Sircilla at the end of this month, KTR challenged Revanth Reddy to release an official white paper specifying the survey numbers, revenue villages, and alleged encroachers.The 22(A) Prohibited List Extortion RacketKTR termed Section 22(A) of the Registration Act a 30 percent extortion machinery institutionalized by the Congress dispensation to extract kickbacks from property owners. He emphasized that while the Chief Minister acknowledged on the floor of the House that 30 lakh acres out of the roughly one crore acres under the prohibited register belong to private citizens, the government is coercing landowners to prove their innocence while its ministers demand commissions to de-notify them. “When the CM’s residence in Jubilee Hills was placed under 22(A), it was expunged overnight; why are ordinary citizens subject to a different standard?” he questioned, stressing that the rule of law must apply equally to all. He strongly condemned the false allegations levelled by the CM against senior BRS leaders—including T. Harish Rao, G. Jagadish Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao,Mlc Naveen Rao, MLA’s Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and D.
