Revanth orders probe into land parcels around KCR farmhouse in Erravelli | Hyderabad News
Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into land parcels around former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Erravelli farmhouse, alleging that around 700 acres were under KCR family’s control, including 388 acres of govt land. Speaking in the assembly, Revanth said govt land parcels found around farmhouse limits will be recovered and allotted to eligible poor people, especially Dalits. He said the land parcels on which “purification” was carried out would be used to provide rights to Dalits.Revanth also alleged that members of KCR’s family and relatives held 439 acres across nine districts, 24 mandals and 31 villages. According to figures presented by him, 67 acres land was held by KCR’s family and 123 acres by a senior BRS leader’s family. He also said that 79 acres land was held by one political family, 30 acres by a former minister’s family, while two other families hold 101 acres and 37 acres land.Revanth said KCR and his wife were entitled to hold 27 acres under the rules, but the figures showed them owning 67 acres. He said 123 acres was held in the names of members of another political family, including 49 acres in one person’s name, 17.5 acres in his wife’s name, and 46.3 acres and 9.3 acres in the names of two other relatives.He alleged that Telangana movement and Dharani portal had been used to the accumulate land. Citing an alleged Dharani irregularity, he said 1,389 acres in survey no. 318/A1 in Chinthalapalem mandal of Suryapet district had been entered in the name of just one person. He said after his govt came to power, the land was brought back under govt control and placed on the prohibited list.The CM also alleged that land linked to the Satyam scam was transferred into the names of relatives of a BRS leader and claimed that the farmhouse was located on this land. Revanth further alleged that land worth Rs50 crore was registered for Rs 1.53 crore before an election and questioned how 11.5 acres of inam land parcels became part of a 50-acre farmhouse. He also referred to 650 acres of govt land in another case while alleging large-scale diversion of govt land parcels during the previous govt.‘Dharani part-2 irregularities soon’Chief minister A Revanth Reddy alleged that a Rs1 lakh crore land scam had taken place in Telangana and said the govt would constitute a SIT into probe it. Speaking in the assembly, Revanth said the entire alleged scam will be brought to light within a month. “So far, what we have revealed is only Dharani part-1. We will soon expose Dharani part-2 irregularities,” he said. Revanth said he wanted BRS members to be present in assembly when the details were disclosed. He also alleged that irregularities involving TGIIC land would be exposed during the budget session. He claimed that thousands of crores of rupees had been siphoned off using the Dharani portal.
