Two people sustained minor injuries after an unidentified object exploded at a train station in the southern German city of Augsburg, local media reported.Window panes were also damaged in the explosion, which occurred in a passageway inside the station.Police responded to the incident at around 5 am local time and cordoned off parts of the station as officers investigated the scene. An explosive-disposal robot was also deployed.The station was later completely shut down and rail services were suspended after police described the object as “suspicious”, without providing further details. Earlier, one track had remained operational.Augsburg is a regional transport hub located around 55 km (35 miles) west of Munich, Germany’s third-largest city after capital Berlin and Hamburg.
