SCSC marks 20 years, unveils logo

Hyderabad: The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) marked 20 years on Sunday, celebrating two decades of a police-industry-community partnership built around safety in Cyberabad. The organisation was formally set up on Aug 23, 2006, after police and industry came together to address the security needs of the city’s fast-growing IT corridor. Cyberabad police commissioner Dr M Ramesh said keeping IT professionals and the wider tech community safe remains a priority, recalling SCSC’s role during the Telangana movement and the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the years, he said, the partnership has moved from simply reacting to problems to actively building solutions before they arise.Former SCSC secretary general Dr Krishna Yedula looked back on the organisation’s early days. The event also saw the unveiling of the SCSC@20 logo and the launch of Enabling Enterprise, a publication marking two decades of the council’s work.Four panels ran through the day, covering women and children’s safety, cybersecurity, road safety and community health, with discussions on responsible technology use, cybercrime prevention, digital evidence, safer roads, driver education, preventive healthcare, fitness and nutrition. The event closed with panelists being felicitated, followed by closing remarks and networking.
