123 educators to be honoured on Sept 5 | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: The Telangana govt has selected 123 teachers and faculty members for the State Teacher Awards 2026, which will be presented on Teachers’ Day on Sept 5.A govt order announcing the awards was issued by the state education department on Thursday (Sept 3).Of the 123 awardees, 52 are from school education, 11 from intermediate education, three from technical education, 28 from universities and 29 from affiliated colleges, including a physical director and a librarian, according to the govt order. The selections were made after the respective state-level committees scrutinised nominations and recommended the awardees.The 52 awardees from school education include Burugu Neeraja, V Malathi, Kolthuri Venkatamma, S Bhagyalyaxmi, Md Saleem Shareef, Surabhi Devender Rao, Gunda Rajanna, Dr C Dashrath, Kommavarapu Krishnaiah, V Niranjan, Banala Swapna, M Kavitha, Keerthi Chandrika, Vanteru Sandhya, Ratnakala, T Vishnu Vardhan Goud, Gadde Srinivas, Kalasani Madhava Reddy, Md Shareef Ahmed, Sanikommu Venkateshwar Reddy, Cherla Tirupathi, Jilakapally Karunakar Reddy, Bojja Sambaiah, Kurangayla Chandrashekar, Banoth Hanuma, P Augustin, M Madhu, Nalla Lalitha, P Balaji Rao, Nuguuri Anupama, Aduri Lavanya, Swetha, A Jyothirmayee, Ch Devaraju, T Venkat Reddy, Dasari Chinna Ramu, Malla Mohana Kumar, Alimi Kumara Swamy, Mula Narayana Reddy, Bhupal Reddy Sama, Gundu Vijay Kumar, Janga Gurunadha Reddy, Kunchana Pally Srinivas, Jadhav Raj Kumar, Girimoni Shiva Kumar, KNV Rajagopal, Ch Sanjeev, Raghunayakula Radhika, L Ramu, G Madhusudhan, T Srinivas and Dr M Govinda Raju. The list covers govt schools across Telangana.The director of School Education, director of Intermediate Education, commissioner of Technical Education and commissioner of Collegiate Education have been directed to make arrangements for the presentation of the awards.Separately, the Telangana govt has selected A Sridevasena, commissioner of Technical Education and Collegiate Education, for excellence in Educational Administration 2026. The award recognises her “exceptional contribution” to technical and collegiate education. Kumar Deepak, IAS, Mancherial district collector, and G Ramesh, director, SCERT Telangana, have also been selected for the administrative excellence awards. These awards will also be presented during the state-level Teachers’ Day celebrations.
