Olivia Wilde has sold her Studio City home in Los Angeles for $5.23 million, almost $700,000 below the $5.9 million she paid in March 2023. The four-bedroom house closed on 2 December, less than three months after it was listed at $6.2 million. The sale comes as the actress and director’s relationship with the British art dealer Caspar Jopling draws attention, and as she is reported to be considering a move to the United Kingdom. Below, you will find the price history, the property’s features, the timing of the sale, the relationship context and her earlier Silver Lake house sale.
Olivia Wilde sold her Studio City house for $5.23 million, beneath the $5.9 million she paid in 2023
Property records cited by Realtor show that Olivia Wilde sold her Studio City house on 2 December for $5.23 million. She had bought the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom property for $5.9 million in March 2023, so she held it for less than three years and sold it for nearly $700,000 less than she paid. Wilde had listed the house for $6.2 million less than three months before the sale closed, which puts the final price about $970,000 below the asking figure. Put another way, she accepted $5.23 million for a property she had priced at $6.2 million less than three months earlier. The house was listed through Compass, which marketed it on the strength of its architectural pedigree, layered detail and indoor-outdoor flow.
Inside the 3,700 square foot house on a 0.66 acre lot with pool, spa, guesthouse and outdoor kitchen
The house was originally designed by Barbara Bestor and completed in 1940, and it underwent an extensive refresh in 2015. The Richest reported that the renovation modernised the layout, finishes and interior elements while preserving the original structure. The property covers 3,700 square feet on a 0.66-acre lot, where mature trees and structured landscaping provide privacy from neighbouring homes. Inside, an open floor plan brings together a chef’s kitchen, a living area and a dining room. Wide glass doors connect the primary bedroom directly to a backyard with a pool, spa, fireplace and detached guesthouse, and a large patio also includes an outdoor kitchen. A porte cochère leads to the garage area and gives covered access to the side of the house.

Caspar Jopling, July 2025 and sightings in London and New York, why a move abroad is being discussed
Wilde has been dating the British art dealer Caspar Jopling, 33, since July 2025, around a year after his split from the singer Ellie Goulding. The couple were photographed strolling through Primrose Hill in London in October and in New York the following month, but they have not been seen together in public in Los Angeles, where Wilde has been based for many years. Insiders told Realtor that Wilde is considering a move across the Atlantic, and the report notes she has been spending a good deal of time in Jopling’s native United Kingdom. Her romance with the singer and actor Harry Styles had ended shortly before she bought the Studio City house in March 2023. Wilde has not yet commented on the relationship, so any relocation remains unconfirmed.
Silver Lake house sold for $4.2 million off-market in the same month the custody terms were finalised
The Richest reported that the Silver Lake house Wilde previously co-owned with Jason Sudeikis sold off-market in September 2023 for $4.2 million, later that year after she bought the Studio City property. The couple finalised their custody arrangement the same month. It provides for equal weekly parenting time and requires Sudeikis to pay $27,500 a month in child support. They share a son, Otis, 11, and a daughter, Daisy, 9. Wilde is 41, and Sudeikis is 50. When they ended their seven-year engagement in 2020, Wilde took the California properties, and Sudeikis kept the Brooklyn townhouse they had previously owned together. Wilde bought the Studio City house in March 2023, so the Silver Lake sale and the custody settlement both fell within a few months of that purchase.
