Cat Deeley begins ‘massive renovation’ of new home with brother’s help after split from Patrick Kielty; ex-couple’s Hampstead house listed for £5 million after £250,000 price cut |

This Morning presenter Cat Deeley has revealed that she is undertaking a “massive renovation” of her new house following her separation from Irish television presenter Patrick Kielty. The 49-year-old presenter, who split from Patrick, 55, last July, said she is taking on the ambitious project independently, with help from her brother. In an interview with Closer magazine, Cat opened up about the renovation and explained why she enjoys taking on challenges that push her out of her comfort zone.“I’m doing a big renovation, which is a massive project, and my brother is helping me do it,” she said.“I like doing things that scare me a little bit.“I always feel like if an opportunity comes up or there’s something life-changing that you want to do, if you feel a little bit scared and you’re approaching it with a little trepidation then you should probably do it.”Cat did not reveal the location of her new property or share further details about the project.
Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty’s £5 million Hampstead home up for sale
Cat’s latest renovation project comes after the extensive redevelopment of the Hampstead home she purchased with Patrick in 2022. The former couple reportedly paid £4.9 million for the derelict 1950s property in north London, which they had planned to transform into their forever home. However, the ambitious renovation reportedly placed additional stress on their marriage. With Patrick working in Ireland and Cat presenting This Morning in London, managing the extensive redevelopment alongside their professional commitments proved challenging.Cat had previously documented the renovation on social media, offering followers a glimpse into the scale of the work involved. In a video shared in February 2024, she candidly admitted: “I’m not going to lie, I got a bit of a shock today. Not much house, lots of air.”The plans for the property included creating a grand entrance hall, removing the mezzanine floor in the living room and extending the bedrooms and terrace.Following their separation, the extensive renovation was halted, with the project becoming a significant undertaking to manage individually. The Hampstead property is now on the market with Savills for £5 million, after its asking price was reportedly reduced by £250,000 this summer.Cat and Patrick announced their separation last July after years together. The former couple share two sons, Milo, 10, and James, eight.Despite the changes in her personal life, Cat appears ready to embrace a new chapter, taking on a major property project of her own.
