Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Sunday urged farmers to avoid Yasangi (Rabi) cultivation amid rainfall deficit and the potential impact of El Niño, warning of possible water shortages in the coming months.He assured farmers who had already cultivated Kharif crops that the govt would take steps to ensure irrigation supply. He also urged the public to conserve water and electricity, stressing that drinking water needs must be prioritised alongside agriculture.
