Two Forgery rackets busted

Hyderabad: Special Operations Teams (SOT) of the Malkajgiri police have busted two property document forgery gangs and arrested four accused. They also seized hundreds of forged documents and seals of govt officials from the possession of the accused.On Tuesday, the SOT Malkajgiri team along with local police raided the Moula Ali home of realty broker Md Khaja Pasha, who is also a history-sheeter of the Keesara police station. Police recovered nine knives, fake land documents, blank bond papers and counterfeit revenue stamps. On his confession, police searched the Lalaguda house of his associate, Md Zulfikar Ali, and seized forged documents, 22 seals, a computer, a colour printer and blank bond papers.According to Malkajgiri police commissioner B Sumathi, Pasha identified disputed or abandoned properties and collected owners’ records through his associates. Zulfikar Ali and a third accused, Vinod Kumar of Alwal, who is absconding, prepared forged agreement papers and identity documents to impersonate genuine owners to carry out fraudulent sale agreements or mortgages.On Wednesday, the SOT LB Nagar team along with the local police arrested document writer DVV Satyanarayana, a former MeeSeva operator from LB Nagar, and his assistant P Raju of Saroornagar. According to the commissioner, the gang has been involved in forging GPAs, mortgage release deeds, sale deeds and gift deeds. Police seized forged deeds, 25 non-judicial stamp papers and 41 rubber stamps and seals. Satyanarayana was earlier involved in nine cases and six of his associates were absconding.Police urged the public to verify title, registration, revenue records and litigation status independently before buying property and not to rely solely on documents from sellers or brokers.
