Future City to get 3 women police stations

Hyderabad: The state govt has reorganised the jurisdiction and policing structure of Future City commissionerate, creating new police stations for women and traffic units while redrawing the limits of several existing stations, zones and divisions.Under the GO issued by the home department on Tuesday, the existing Shadnagar, Chevella and Maheshwaram areas have been structured under the revised law-and-order set-up, with Shadnagar and Chevella designated as law-and-order zones and Amangal, Kothur and Moinabad as divisions. The order also provides for the creation of Aziznagar police station.Three women police stations will be set up at Maheshwaram, Shadnagar and Chevella, while the traffic policing structure will have two zones and separate traffic divisions for Chevella, Shadnagar and Maheshwaram. Moinabad, Kothur and Amangal traffic police stations have also been provided for under the revised arrangement.The order also renames and reorganises existing police stations. Green Pharma City police station has been renamed Meerkhanpet police station, while Mokila police station has been renamed Peddashapur police station. Several existing police stations have also been placed under different zones and divisions as part of the reorganisation.The extensive annexure redraws the jurisdiction of the commissionerate by reallocating villages and localities among police stations and their supervisory divisions. Areas covering Amangal, Madgul, Kadthal, Kothur, Nandigama, Keshampet, Shadnagar, Kondurg, Moinabad, Chevella, Ibrahimpatnam and adjoining areas have been mapped under the revised structure.The order, issued under Section 7 of the BNSS, 2023, supersedes earlier orders relating to the territorial limits covered by the reorganisation and takes effect from the date of the notification.
