AM Intelligence orders another 20,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs for India, Malaysia AI factories expansion | Hyderabad News

AM Intelligence, the AI infrastructure platform promoted by Greenko’s founders, said on Monday it has placed two additional binding orders for 20,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs to expand its Vera Rubin AI factory rollout in India and Malaysia. The GPUs will be deployed as NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems, adding 70 megawatts of capacity scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2027.The new orders follow AMI’s Aug 25, 2026, commitment for 9,000 Rubin GPUs at its first AI factory in Hyderabad.Together, the three orders will take AMI’s committed frontier-compute capacity to about 29,000 Rubin GPUs and nearly 100 MW, making it one of the largest early committed buyers of Rubin GPUs outside North America.AMI said the expansion is aimed at providing cloud providers, enterprises and AI developers with large-scale compute capacity closer to markets where AI systems are built and deployed.AMI plans to bring another 300 MW to market over the next 15 months, requiring more than $20 billion in additional capital expenditure, beyond $6 billion already committed for the initial 100 MW.AMI chairman Anil Chalamalasetty said the India and Malaysia facilities would follow the same architecture standard as the Hyderabad AI factory, combining NVIDIA Vera Rubin systems with RoCE networking, advanced storage, high rack power density and liquid cooling. The design, he said, is intended to support future generations of AI chips within the same footprint.NVIDIA Asia South managing director Vishal Dhupar said AMI’s facilities would help developers and enterprises build more ambitious AI systems by combining accelerated computing, high-performance networking and liquid-cooled infrastructure.AMI said the committed orders are the first tranche of a 400 MW Compute-as-a-Service pipeline across India, Malaysia, the United States and Europe. The company aims to develop 1 GW of compute capacity and 5 GW of AI data centres.
