Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy has been selected for the prestigious ‘Aryadan Mohammed–2026 Best Public Servant Award’, instituted in memory of veteran Kerala Congress leader and former minister Aryadan Mohammed.The award will be presented at a function in Nilambur, Kerala, on Friday, coinciding with the fourth death anniversary of Aryadan Mohammed.Aryadan Mohammed Foundation working chairman and Nilambur MLA Aryadan Shoukath said Revanth was selected in recognition of his initiatives for the welfare of farmers, backward classes and the common people of Telangana, as well as his leadership and commitment to democratic values.The jury for the award comprised MP Benny Behanan, Kerala revenue minister AP Anil Kumar and noted intellectual Kalpetta Narayanan. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, along with a citation and a memento.AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal will deliver Aryadan Mohammed memorial lecture at the event. Aryadan Mohammed was a senior Kerala Congress leader who served as MLA eight times and held ministerial portfolios in four Kerala govts. The foundation said Aryadan Mohammed was widely associated with values of integrity, secularism and public welfare-oriented governance.
