Yasin Malik’s lawyer files plea to withdraw from Sarla Bhat murder case

SRINAGAR: Advocate Abu Adil Pandit, representing JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik in the Kashmiri Pandit nurse Sarla Bhat killing case, Saturday filed an application before a Srinagar court, seeking permission to withdraw his power of attorney and cease representing Malik in the proceedings.In his application, Pandit said Malik, in his written submissions, had stated that he had decided not to contest the trial proceedings further. He described Malik’s submissions as a “reflection of the accused’s personal and conscientious consideration of the course he proposes to adopt in the present proceedings.”
