Details of the vaccine’s price were not available.

NEW DELHI: India’s first dengue vaccine is expected to be available in the private market in the first half of 2027. Takeda Pharma and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories have entered into an agreement under which the latter will promote and distribute QDENGA, the Japanese firm’s dengue vaccine, across India’s private market for paediatric and adult vaccination. The collaboration follows QDENGA’s marketing authorisation by India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation in July for individuals aged 4 to 60 years. “While inclusion in India’s public immunisation programme remains a key ambition, private-market availability will provide a pathway for eligible individuals to access the vaccine,” a statement said. Details of the vaccine’s price were not available.
