Hard work brought down in one stroke: Chinna

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader G Chinna Reddy on Thursday expressed disappointment over his removal as vice-chairman of Telangana Planning Commission, saying his long political journey had been reduced to nothing “in one stroke”.Reddy, however, said he had never been attached to the post and saw no reason to be overly upset about losing it. “Even without a post, I will get the respect due to me,” he said.Reddy said he had neither met CM A Revanth Reddy nor made any attempt to meet him following his removal. He said the order appointing him did not specify any fixed tenure and only stated that he would continue until further orders.Reddy said he had been with the party since Indira Gandhi’s tenure. He also recalled his participation in the Telangana statehood movement and said he had undertaken a hunger strike for creation of Wanaparthy district.“I worked very hard to reach this position. But everything was brought down in one stroke.” Reddy said he had not yet decided on future course of action.
