The case was registered on August 7, 2026, and police arrested the filmmaker before producing him before a magistrate.The magistrate subsequently sent Pavan Sadineni to judicial custody at Chanchalguda Prison. Woman alleges relationship with Pavan Sadineni and promise of marriage

According to ANI, the woman alleged that she had been in a relationship with Pavan Sadineni for more than a year. She claimed that the filmmaker initially supported her financially, helped her during health-related issues, and took her to hospitals when required. She further alleged that he promised to support her career and finances and also assured her that he would produce a film she was planning to direct.The complainant later claimed that she discovered that Pavan Sadineni was married and had children. According to her complaint, the filmmaker allegedly told her that he was going through a divorce and would marry her after the process was completed. She alleged that he continued to make assurances about marriage, a house, financial support and film opportunities.

Pavan Sadineni faces allegations of physical assault and sexual abuse

The woman further alleged that the relationship later became focused on sexual relations and claimed that Pavan Sadineni continued to make promises that were not fulfilled. She also alleged that he forced her into physical relations despite her health problems. According to the complaint, she was also allegedly pressured into sexual activity over video calls even after telling him that she was experiencing panic attacks.The complainant also alleged that an incident took place at her residence on August 5 at around 4:30 pm. She claimed that Pavan Sadineni assaulted her during an intimate encounter and hit her on the face, following which she lost consciousness. She further alleged that she suffered swelling around her face and eyes, along with headaches and back pain. Police registered the case under Section 69, relating to sexual intercourse by deceitful means, and Section 115(2), relating to voluntarily causing hurt, of the BNS.

Pavan Sadineni is known for his work in Telugu cinema and made his directorial debut with ‘Prem Ishq Kaadhal’ in 2013, starring Harshvardhan Rane.
