Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have begun their official shift back to the UK. New reports revealed that the royal couple has officially landed in the UK along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple is reportedly going to live there for an indefinite period.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrive in the UK
BBC reported that the royal couple arrived in the UK on August 26, weeks after reports of their move were shared online. The couple plans to stay in the UK in a private, non-royal residence with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Their children have also been enrolled in a school in Britain, with classes starting next month.Their new place of residence has not been revealed to the public. Previously, while in the UK, the couple was living in Frogmore Cottage, which was a wedding present from Queen Elizabeth. However, they surrendered the property in 2020 after renouncing their royal duties and status. The move comes after Markle and the Prince attempted to reconcile with the royal family earlier this year. The family visited the UK and attended the Invictus Games events. They also met with King Charles and Queen Camilla. The King met his grandchildren after around four years.While they are shifting back to Britain for the foreseeable future, the couple will keep their Montecito house in California, which they have called home for the past six years. The couple also owns a vacation home in Portugal.
King Charles is looking forward to the move
The outlet had earlier reported that King Charles was made aware of the big move on August 16 and welcomed it with open arms. However, it has been revealed that the couple will not be returning to their royal duties. After surrendering their royal duties in 2020 and moving to the US, the couple are now considered private citizens and non-working members of the royal family.Prince Harry is aiming to focus more on initiatives established in Britain, along with many of the charities and organisations that he supports. Markle, on the other hand, will be focusing on her own lifestyle brand and other projects. PEOPLE reported that the actress, who is best known for her work in the legal drama ‘Suits,’ may be returning to the career path sooner rather than later. According to the outlet, she is being considered for a major role in the upcoming season of Guy Ritchie’s drama series, ‘The Gentlemen,’ which stars Theo James in the lead.After marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Markle stopped acting; however, after the couple moved to the US, she started appearing more and more in the limelight, hosting her own shows and publishing her very own book.
