Attack on realtor: Jubilee Hills inspector suspended over negligence | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Within a month after he took over as Jubilee Hills inspector, M Muthu Yadav was suspended by Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar for dereliction of duty on Tuesday. In the last week of July, Yadav had replaced inspector U Srinivasulu Reddy, who was suspended for alleged misconduct involving a woman complainant. On Tuesday, police commissioner Sajjanar placed Yadav under suspension for negligence and dereliction of duty. According to a senior police officer, the suspension was due to improper response to an assault complaint from a realtor, G Hari Krishna (36) of Medipally.Hari Krishna alleged that he was attacked by minister Konda Surekha’s former OSD Sumanth and a group of associates with iron rods on July 30 in a building at Jubilee Hills claiming the realtor was collecting money using Sumanth’s reference.Hari Krishna suffered a hand fracture in the assault and he subsequently lodged a complaint at Medipally PS on Aug 20 where a zero FIR was registered. It was transferred to Jubilee Hills PS on the same day.On Monday, Jubilee Hills police arrested three associates of Sumanth, identified as Arun, Mahender and Karthik. They were remanded to judicial custody. Sumanth is still on the run. “Inspector Muthu Yadav did not respond immediately when the complainant approached him with visible injuries. The victim then had to lodge a complaint at Medipally PS and the zero FIR was transferred to Jubilee Hills,” said a senior police officer.Jubilee Hills DCP A Ramana Reddy said that special teams are on a look out for Sumanth, and Central Crime Station (CCS) inspector Raghevendra will supervise the investigation of the case.
